Get ready for a 5-day yoga training experience that's not your average sun salutation! This immersive course is all about rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on with the vibrant world of Vinyasa Krama Yoga teachings.
We'll take you on a journey through the art of assisting, dive deep into the dynamic realm of anatomy in motion, and explore some fantastic yoga poses, from the basics to the oh-so-”advanced”.
As teachers, we're not just about book smarts; we're all about creating a groovy, inward journey for our students. This course combines a thorough exploration of asana poses and alignment with a blueprint for becoming the embodiment of yogic mastery.
You'll walk out from this module more equipped and skilled in hands-on assisting, with a greater understanding of anatomy and asanas, and clearer insights in philosophy.
Online zoom course with Josephin, the timing for the course will be set together with the group closer to the start of the training. It's a 12 week course, where you meet every 2 weeks (=6 sessions) over zoom for 90 min per session.

But that's not all! As we immerse ourselves in the world of breath, we simultaneously nurture our awareness of Sanskrit. We engage in a start of the study of Sanskrit and lay the foundation for understanding basic translations, forging a deeper connection to the roots of yoga.

Discover the art of meditation and the path to true focus and concentration in this transformative training. We believe that in order to teach meditation effectively, one must first become a friend of focus. That's why we've made it one of the central pillars of this program, alongside an array of other captivating inner practices.
Our module offers a comprehensive exploration of meditation, covering its essence, purpose, and techniques from a multitude of perspectives – from the wisdom of Eastern Yoga and Buddhism to the insights of Western psychotherapy. It all begins with you, as we guide you through daily practices that span from mantra, yantra and mudras to Vedic meditations.
In our quest to befriend the mind, we understand that mental health is a vital subject to explore. Our Yoga Therapist, Ida Farneman, will lead you on a journey to teach trauma-informed practices, delve into stress management, and look deeper into the intricacies of the nervous system and its responses.
Together with Sammy Furnival you will also experience 25 hours of Yin Yoga - and get friendly with a new set of ideas around stretching, connective tissues, meridians and observing the mind.
You'll walk out of this module equipped with the tools to teach seated meditation classes and courses, design classes around stress management and know how to work in a more trauma informed way.

Starting Wednesday 16:00, so there is time for you to travel to Småland during the day. We end on Sunday around noon, for you to make it home in good time for dinner.

We encourage you to embark on a kriya practice, which you can begin three weeks before our Möllan adventure and carry on throughout the retreat—and, ideally, beyond. Josephin Westerlund is our founders of Yoga Folks and the mother of all our trainings. She has been teaching classes, workshops and facilitating trainings for the past decade in Sweden and England.
With a dedication of giving her students the best experience possibly she teaches with a large dose of knowledge and humour, she has a warm way of seeing everyone for their own unique way and allow them to spark fully.
Josephin has over 1800 hours of training (Vinyasa Krama, Bhakti Yoga, Restorative yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, PT, Hands on assist, Sequencing, Yin yoga, Womans therapy and Yoga Nidra) and 10 years of facilitating/teaching.
Ida Farneman is a physiotherapist, certified yoga therapist and yoga teacher. Making students feel safe, seen and empowered on the mat is truly her cup of tea.
With her broad knowledge on the physical body and it's possibilities, the nervous system and deep insight to respiration - Ida will give you the meaty body knowledge of anatomy and the subtle awareness of breath, rest and recovery.
Kim Gajraj is a voice therapist with a background of holding space for individuals and groups in workshop and training sessions.
She has spent much of her life traveling the world, often working with indigenous groups and learning their music and their wisdom.
Her curiosity has taken her through many different adventures in many different places, but has also sent her on deep inner journeys of self-exploration and growth. Kim will introduce you to a a voice journey to familiarise yourself with your voice, as well as give you the tools to use its full potential.
Sammy Rainbow Furnival is a London-based yoga teacher, well known for her profound interest in yogic philosophy and practices, as well as her humor.
Teaching a ton of weekly classes, facilitating trainings throughout the world and holding retreat a couple of times a year - we are happy that she is joining us on the fourth module.
Emil Nylander is a Breathwork guide, Functional Breathing instructor and yoga teacher - and has a fantastic way of keeping his teachings incredibly attainable and interesting.
Satyadev was brought up in Kolkata, India, in an environment clouded with devotion and tradition. Nowadays he lives in Denmark with wife and children, and has been the main philosopy teacher of many teachers at Yoga Folks.
Satyadev is a musician and an artist, carries a huge understanding and love towards Vedic and yogic rituals, and the power of ancient mantra. He will bring in the self inquiry part of the training, mixed with singing and storytelling.
Filippa is one of your teachers here at Yoga Folks and it’s actually right here where her yoga journey began. After practicing for a while she decided to join the first training, and boy are we happy about that! Now she works as a yoga teacher in studios and with businesses, and together with a friend she has a community for women where they facilitate space through yoga, meditation, reflection, dancing and singing.
Filippa will be one of our mentors and assist during the training, where she will be participating the whole training and be a support for you all.
